HustleBuddy ("we," "us") makes a mobile app that helps solo hustlers run their business. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it plain because that's how we build.
The short version
We only collect what the app needs to work for you. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads. Your business information is yours.
What we collect
- Account info: the email address you sign up with.
- Business data you enter: your business/hustle details, customers, jobs, quotes, payments, receipts, services, and notes.
- Photos: receipt and job photos you choose to add. These are stored privately to your account.
- Location (optional): if you enable it, we use your device location and job addresses to estimate your driving mileage for your own records. You can decline this and the rest of the app still works.
- Basic usage/diagnostics: standard technical data needed to keep the app running and fix problems.
How we use it
Only to provide and improve the app's features — storing your business records, calculating your totals and mileage, generating your cards and reports, and managing your subscription. That's it.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored securely with our infrastructure providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and secure file storage.
- RevenueCat and Apple / Google — subscription and payment processing (we never see or store your card details).
- Email delivery — to send you account and support messages.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Your photos and permissions
The app asks for camera, photo library, and location access only to power features you choose to use (adding receipt/job photos, saving a marketing card, estimating mileage). You can grant or deny each one in your device settings.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active so the app works for you. You can delete your account and all its data at any time — right in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), or by requesting it at hustlebuddy.app/delete-account. Deletion is permanent and removes your records from our systems.
Children
HustleBuddy is for adults running a business and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app.
